Downtown Form-Based Code Advances Closer Toward Final Adoption

The City of Waco is entering the final phase of adopting the Downtown Form-Based Code, a key step in the Downtown Redevelopment Project. The proposed code will guide future development by establishing standards for building design, walkability, public spaces, and downtown character. The Plan Commission will review the latest draft on July 28, with final adoption anticipated in October 2026.
