Explore the 3D Model
The 3D model of the Barron's Branch District is now available at the Waco Convention Center. Over the next 12 to 20 years, the City of Waco and our partners Hunt Development Group are working side by side with our community to build a future-forward downtown that honors Waco's heritage. The project includes five districts across more than 100 acres along the Brazos River.
The first phase is the 30-acre Barron's Branch District. Of the 30 acres, the floor map represents about 11 acres and the 3D model represents 1.5 acres built to a half-inch to one-foot scale. This model captures many of the future improvements you can expect, including the re-established creek, fountains, a performance pavilion, green spaces, and a pedestrian walkway anchored by a sculptural bridge.
The model is open to the public at the Waco Convention Center (100 Washington Ave.) on the second-floor lobby during regular business hours, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. All ages are welcome! Come see what's taking shape in downtown.
